TheBlackSketchbook is a project which
represents an entire world, a flow of thoughts and emotions
inspired by Nature itself.
It's my first project and hope you enjoy!
Sofia Buratti (called by herself and friends SvartSnø), is born in Italy from a family of artists.
She has always loved the Nordic culture, since she was just a child.
Her interest in this culture brought inside her cosmology and imaginary the stories and legends of ancient heroes and Gods of Scandinavian folks.
With this wonderful world she made an entire series of drawings and artpieces all inspired by Nature and myth.
She also feeds a great interest in music, literature and philosophy, from which she gets ideas and inspirations for drawings and sculptures.
While the natural world never leaves her pencils, she travels among legends and forgotten lands, looking for the real essence of human being and existence, drawing and shaping her thoughts and emotions related to life and its questions.
